Circa 5th-7th centuries. Weight of 12 Grammata or 1/2 Ounkia (?) (Bronze, 14x14 mm, 10.60 g). Large Chi-Rho and monogram of AΛ; above, traces of another A; all engraved. Rev. Blank. Bendall -. CPAI -. MAH -. Pondera -. A very unusual and attractive piece with a lovely dark patina. Adjustment marks as made, otherwise, extremely fine.
